Mütter Museum Choreomania
Choreomania 2025 was an immersive themed party at the historic Mütter Museum in Philadelphia. It invited an audience of 600+ deep inside the strange, manic, collective experience of the 1518 dancing "plague" in Strausberg, Germany.

The party was designed as an immersive, highly sensory "microcosm" of the universe within the framework of the humoral calendar: each hour of the party defined according to the properties of a specific season and its humoral qualities.

Glimmer Labs designed 3,000+ square feet of lighting installation across multiple spaces for this unique experience, including a historically-accurate projection mapped night sky constellation, elaborate sound-controlled lighting for a DJ booth, dance floor, humoral physician visits and other “medieval peasant core” experiences.
Although it is a dance party defined by high-energy music, bopping dance floors, and its connection to Halloween, it is also grounded in an educational mission of teaching people about this bizarre phenomenon in the history of medicine in a way that is deeply felt.
