COSMOS

COSMOS (the Collective Sensory Modification System) was an immersive light, sound, and interactive environment that transformed a gathering space into a shared vessel for exploration. Created by Glimmer Labs as a custom installation for the 1,000-person Calling All Magical People (CAMP) festival COSMOS reimagines our SENSORIUM concept into a retro-futuristic social lounge. Strangers became crew aboard an imaginary spacecraft and traveled not only across oceans and planets, but through memory, mythology, and states of consciousness.

The installation invited visitors to dance, relax, socialize, or simply gaze upward into an ever-changing sky of light. By day, COSMOS served as a welcoming gathering place for events. By night, it transformed into a performance venue hosting DJs, live musicians, themed events, and spontaneous encounters beneath an immersive canopy of synchronized light from thousands of responsive LEDs. A custom DJ booth was built as an extension onto the SENSORIUM– inspired by the launch bays of 1970s speculative science fiction.

Combining architecture, fabrication, lighting design, technology, and storytelling, we create environments that encourage curiosity, conversation, and moments of shared wonder long after visitors leave the space.
